2000 Plus
A Veteran Comes Home is about a space soldier’s return home from a war on Mars to his anxiously awaiting wife and son, whom he last saw 5 years before as a baby. It’s a touching “comes home from war all confused and conflicted” story that is as much about the early 1950s as it is about today.
The story begins with Mary and her young son Billy at the space port waiting for the arrival of her husband and his father back from the wars on Mars. Michael, a Space Soldier, has been on Mars for the past 5 years fighting a war against the Martians.

2000 Plus
It is the far distant future and the date is 16 May 2040. The International League of Planetary Scientist have concluded that an expedition to Mars is plausible. Professor H. D. White, the Chairman of the League, has issued a statement that intelligent life on Mars like our own is highly probable and that a space journey towards the fourth planet now looks possible.
Two teenager boys begin to ponder the meaning of life and wish to make a name for themselves by being the first people on the red surface of Mars. Mickey Turner and Jink hear the news announcement and can’t help but feel excited about a space flight to Mars. Mickey, in particular, can’t wait to go to Mars, and even imagines being the first person to land there. 2000 Plus
Unfortunately 2000 Plus is one of those Old Time Radio Show series that most of the episodes are lost (forever? Let’s hope not!). The few episodes that I do have will be made available for listing over time. Below is a sequential list of both season one and season two. I have compiled this list from several other online lists and cannot be sure it is accurate. If you see any discrepancies please use the comment system below to bring it to my attention.
Anyone who may discover a copy of this "Lost" episode and would like to get it into public circulation please contact Spaceman (Senior Rating) Ray.

2000 Plus
2000 Plus (aka Two Thousand Plus and 2000+) was the first of the science fiction anthology radio program, using all new material rather than adapting published stories that ran on the Mutual Broadcasting System from March 15, 1950 to January 2, 1952 in various 30-minute time slots. 2000 Plus offered a variety of exciting adventures of future technology, with several episodes dealing with space exploration (of interest to Spacemens Luck), including alien invasion. The “outer space” themes portray our 1950’s fears in the post WWII atomic and new cold war eras.
“Let us send our imaginations forward in time into the years beyond 2000 AD. What strange adventures, what exciting things will we find in the world of tomorrow? 2000 Plus!”
