At an unknown time in the far distant future The Master Mechanical Brain with their robot police have taken over Mech City. Mech City is a domed city where robots do everything for the humans. It is not said but the story infers that this is the only human outpost left on earth. A man named Morton, who has developed a Master Mechanical Brain, has plans of human genocide, planning only to spare a few re-adjusted humans.
This story is about a rebellion among a few humans led by Bob Thomas, who resents Morton and the Master Controller for having Mech City transformed into a complete machine civilization. The Robot Mind Police Patrol the city and search for the remaining human inhabitants who are not re-adjusted.

Bob Thomas, Johnny 212 and left have escaped outside of Mech City for hiding. While they are hiding outside of Mech City they listen to Morton on their Tele Box offer a last minute reprieve for those who turn themselves in for re-adjustment. But they learn that Morton has already begun destroying the outlying farms outside of Mech City with a destroyer wave.
Bob Thomas and his rag tag human refugees escape into specially lined caves, that evade electronic detection, just in time as the Master Computer destroys their farm. Once in the caves they plot to go back into Mech City and destroy Morton and the Master Mechanical Brain.
In the process of destroying Morton and the Master Mechanical Brain the entire city of Mech City is destroyed. Leaving the human race to start over again without their technology.
I think you will find this story to be an interesting account of the human spirit fighting to win over technology gone wild.
