The series was the creation of Sherman H. Dryer who scripted and produced the series with Robert Weenolsen. 2000 Plus was the first adult science fiction series on radio, airing one month prior to the better known Dimension X.
As an anthology program there were no regular characters. Sherman Dryer directed regular cast members Lon Clark, Joseph Julian, Henry Norell, Bill Keene, Bryna Raeburn and Amzie Strickland.
Emerson Buckley conducted the music composed by Elliott Jacoby which highlighted the shows with intense orchestral music.
Ken Marvin was the program’s announcer, and the sound effects were by Adrian Penner.
It is believed that there were about 90 episodes made. I have been unable to find a definitive list of episodes. I will be posting the list I have soon, after I have a chance to research it some more.
There are few known episodes surviving. So far, I have managed to locate 16 episodes that I will make available here at Spacemens Luck for your listening pleasure.
It is interesting that in 2009 (as of this writing) that these stories were about our times now. I am looking forward to listening to these programs again with that thought in mind.
