We join our lunar astronauts outside of the ship. Jet, Doc and Lemmy suddenly hear that strange music again and Doc sees a movement near the craters edge. Jet goes over to investigate and disappears.
Doc and Lemmy go to the crater to investigate and they can find no trace of Jet. They call Mitch up in the ship to use the televiewer to see if he can find Jet. No such luck, Jet is nowhere to be seen. They try to call him on the radio with no results.
Three hours later Jet finally replies. They rejoin Jet who only believes he has been out of contact for about 5 minutes. During his absence he had been having a conversation with his uncle back on earth, in Jets youth, abut the possibility of space travel.
A few days later Doc and Lemmy are outside again when the strange music begins playing again and Doc sees a dome over the crater but no one else saw it. Lemmy, however, does not see the dome. They try calling Jet and Mitch back on the ship with no luck.
Back on the ship Jet tells the crew that he is convinced some sort of outside force is causing their various illusions by effecting their minds.
Jet and Mitch go down into the crater and find that the crater floor is radioactive. Jet starts to hear radio communications between spaceships that are obviously from the future. One communication was between a spaceship communication with earth as it prepares to land on Venus.
Jet also has visions of a lunar base that is also obviously from the future.
Back at the ship Jet decides that they avoid the crater for the rest of their stay on the moon.
A week later they have not heard the strange music again nor had any unexplained visions. There mission completed and now on day 13 they make ready to launch the ship for their return to earth.
When Jet goes to press the rocket ignition button nothing happens. Then one by one all the ships systems shut down and they are left in a dead ship.
