Last episode (Episode 4) we left our Lunar crew who have been stranded for two weeks inside the Lunar Rocket Ship and on the tenth day of that period they heard a strange tapping sound around the ships hull as if “someone” were checking out the ship.
Then suddenly the Televiewer comes on and all power is restored. Quickly they make one final check before launching. They try to contact their Earth base at Wongawalla, Australia but all they hear is country music, a song about the Moon. Then they hear an announcer from London in the Overseas Service of the BBC telling the world that all hope for the Rocketship Luna is feared lost.
Then they see a spaceship in the crater and Jet and Mitch decide to go investigate. Jet and Mitch decide to investigate while Lemmy attempts to make contact with Wongawalla, Australia Moon Control when instead makes contact with Weather Station KLG in Greenland. Lemmy has them get word to the British Met Office to notify the Moon Control base at Wongawalla, Australia to contact the ship.
Wongawalla, Australia Moon Control finally contacts them. Then the spaceship in the crater has an opening that opens and the strange music begins and Lemmy again looses contact with Earth.
Jet and Mitch decide to go closer and investigate the strange spaceship more closely. While they are investigating Lemmy regains contact with Control and briefs them of their encounter.
During their investigations Mitch decides to go closer and kicks the side of the ship and they realize that the sound of the kick is generating radio waves where they can hear the kick through their spacesuit radios. Mitch discovers a ladder from the ship and decides to go in. They loose contact with Mitch and after a few minutes Mitch starts talking in a strange voice. He talks about how the spaceship is from a far distant world from the other side of the Universe. He babbles something about a journey in time to explain how they came from a planet from so far away. He then asks why do they attempt to disrupt the peace of other worlds. With one final message he warns the Earthmen to watch their step.
Suddenly, Mitch is back to himself and he gets out of the ship reporting that the ship is alive. Both Jet and Mitch race back to the ship. They play a recording of Mitch talking while inside of the ship and Mitch remembers none of it. Jet comments this is Doc’s diary entries all over again where there were diary entries that Doc didn’t remember writing.
Mitch comes to the conclusion that the strange visitors are time travelers as well as space travelers.
Lemmy, the practical one, reminds them that they are low on oxygen and they need to leave now.
They take one last look and the strange spaceship is gone. They make last minute preparations and launch. True to their original plan they to make one orbit around the moon to see the dark side.
Once launched they are looking at the dark side of the moon and suddenly they see one extremely large crater with dozens of little craters inside of it. Then Lemmy realizes that those are not little craters but ships that are rising up toward them.
