In the previous episode (Episode 5) we left our space weary travelers launching from the moon and keeping to their original plans they make one orbit around the moon to be the first to see the dark side of the moon. We pickup the story here as they are now in lunar orbit on the back side peering down at the surface when suddenly they see one extremely large crater with dozens of little craters inside of it. Then Lemmy points out that those are not little craters but ships that are rising up very fast toward them.
At first the crew panics thinking they are coming up after them to destroy them but the strange craft settle into a hovering orbit just below the rocketship Luna. Once the they are back around the moon in their orbit with their ship again facing toward the earth they cut in their engines and blast for earth.

Once they completed their rocket burn and are settled into the return journey they look to see if they have lost those alien ships. But they soon spot them following behind. Jet orders Lemmy to get contact with earth control. After a few call attempts Lemmy reports he can’t raise earth control.
Then that strange music envelops them again, this time all of them hearing it. Then Doc notices that the ships are quickly approaching them at high speed. Jet realizes they may be attempting to collide with them and orders everone to their couches. But before they can get to the couches the ship is hurdled on through space at a high rate of speed. The crew are thrown to the ships deck and soon loose conciousness.
When they regain conciousness they find they are spinning like a top. Lemmy starts trying calling Wongawalla again but can’t raise anything. Jet and Mitch start looking for the moon and the earth in the Televiewer and can’t find them anywhere. So Jet and Mitch go outside the ship in cas there is something wrong with the Televiewer.
Once outside they still can’t see either the earth or the moon. Then Mitch realizes that the ship is traveling at an incredable speed and that the reason they can’t see the earth or the moon is because they are traveling away from the earth. This is confirmed when Mitch spots a very small yellow star. Jet realizes that it must be our sun and it they are receding from it.
Back inside the ship the crew discuss their situation and with 4 and half days of oxygen left they are not likely to survive because the likely hood of reaching any planet, especially one that supports life, is not likely to happen. Jet sums it by saying they are helpless, they are on “an endless trip through eternity.”
Jet, as Captain orders the crew to set a normal ships routine to get their minds off of their delima. Lemmy begins calling a
Wongawalla, Australia that is far beyond radio, Mitch starts making routine checks of the motors and fuel systems and Jet takes the first radar watch. Doc catches the ship’s log up and we learn that the date is November 25, 1965.
After resolving themselves to their fate they begin seeing a planet ahead of them. Knowing the odds of seeing another planet again they decide to land on it and take the planet as their only hope.
