Unfortunately for Don Veal he left behind in his surface car a Stemutron, a medical device to treat Venus Fever. If Don Veal has Venus fever this gives CDR Correy the clue he needs to track down Veal and Henry.
Meanwhile Veal and Henry are on their way to Mars in Correy’s space cruiser when he realizes he has left his Stemutron on Venus. Then Carol Carlyle comes out of a rear compartment expecting CDR Correy and Cadet Happy but finds Veal and Henry.
Veal realizes that carol can be used for a trade of Carol for the Stemutron. Correy agrees to the trade and follows their instructions on how to transfer the Stemutron for Carol. Veal reneges on the deal and gets the Stemutron but leaves an empty spacesuit without Carol in it. Buzz not to be out done had Happy secretly attach a Miniature Space-A-Phone transmitter to their ships hull.
Using the Miniature Space-A-Phone they start tracking their space cruiser. However, the signal is being obscured by Cosmic Ray Interference. They follow their last know vector until they regain the signal. Once the signal is regained they follow them right to Mars.
Buzz realizes that they might harm Carol if they come in with Terra V. So Buzz goes to Lowell City, Mars and swaps Terra V for a Commercial Atmosphere Ship where he fakes a crash near Veals hideout.
