Our story opens on the Planet Pluto in Pluto City where Commander Corey and Cadet Happy are waiting to meet with Professor Malcolm Walker, of the United Planets Research Foundation, whose rocketship has apparently gone missing. The Commander has ordered a search of Planet Pluto for the Professor. After several hours Buzz and Happy locate a downed rocketship and land nearby to investigate. A search of the rocket reveals that it is the Professors ship and that it is lightly damaged. The Professor himself is no where to be found. He did leave a note explaining that his Space-A-Phone was damaged by the crash. He explains that he saw a flash nearby and has decided to leave the ship to investigate the flash of light.

Corey and Happy return to the Terra V to follow after the Professor. Meanwhile two men, Hagle and Rorman, stumble on the Professor unconscious in the ice. Rorman brings the Professor to their cave headquarters where they revive him and introduce themselves as geologists.

These missing episodes in the Space Patrol radio show series are another of the tragedies of lost radio episodes. Though we believe we know the title of these episodes the story lines are not known. It is one of the tragedies of collecting old time radio (OTR) that many of these old gems are lost forever and only occasionally does one of these lost shows turn up from a previously unknown source.

* The Old Time Radio Researchers Organization Database indicates that these episodes are lost and no longer available. Anyone who may discover a copy of this "Lost" episode and would like to get it into public circulation please contact Spaceman (Senior Rating) Ray.

1953 Space Travel Movie It Came from Outer Space

Based on a Ray Bradbury story “The Meteor”. Amateur astronomer John Putnam, a romantic dreamer misunderstood by the local townsfolk, and schoolteacher and fiance Ellen Fields see a fiery ball fall from the sky and crash into the desert near the small town of Sand Rock, Arizona. John drags his friend, Pete, out of bed to take him and Ellen over to the crash site near the old Excelsior Mine in his helicopter. Once there, John climbs down into the crater. Unfortunately, he does so alone, as Pete and Ellen wait for him on the rim of the crash crater. John is the only one who sees the spaceship before a landslide covers it. And John is the only one who catches a glimpse of the hideous thing inside.

John Putnam’s story is ridiculed by the townspeople, Sheriff Warren, and the local media. Even Ellen is unsure of what to believe at first, but soon agrees to assist John in further investigation. In the following days, several local people disappear. A few return, only to begin to act in bizarre ways, such as speaking and behaving in a zombie-like manner and staring directly at the sun for long periods of time. In the meantime, the local telephone repairmen, Frank Daylon and his assistant George, are kidnapped by the creatures who convert to the looks of the repairmen and begin to act strangely. John is convinced that their likenesses were taken over by the space visitors. As it turns out, they are actually aliens from the buried spaceship, and the real humans have been abducted by them including his fiance Ellen.
