Dimension X
Sometime in the far future man is exploring the galaxies of deep space and on most every planet they explore they find only rubble and remnants of a long-dead space-faring civilization. Why did this “Lost Race” disappear? Whatever happened to them happened over 100,000 years ago.

Picture of a Classic Rocketship of the 1950s
Welcome to this new category for Classic Space Travel here at Spacemen’s Luck. Space Travel Movies of the 1950′s and 1960′s is important for those of you, like myself, who got your vision of space travel from the radio and TV of the 1950′s.
In the series “Space Travel Movies” I will have show descriptions, cast members, production credits and plot lines for movies made during the 1950′s and 1960′s. Additionally, I will be adding my own reviews for these classics. Of course I am biased toward any and all science fiction space travel movies, serials, TV shows, radio episodes and books created during those golden days of space travel.

Tom Corbett, Space Cadet
While returning from a leave on Earth Tom Corbett is Shanghaied by a man named Dawson, First Mate of the deep space freighter Constellation. Tom tries to explain to the Constellation’s Captain Pickering that he was a Space Cadet, but is ignored. Tom is befriended by a fellow Shanghaied shipmate, Jim Harris. The deep space freighter Constellation is destined to deep space while on Venus to top off their supplies they jump ship at Venus Space Port.
Their escape leads them straight into the hands of the Venus Space Port authorities. Is this a good thing? This episode for the first time I have seen in the series has actually left the listener with a cliff hanger. The announcer, Jackson Beck, indicates that his meeting with the Venus Port Commander may not be to Tom Corbett & Harris’s benefit.
