Journey into Space
Previously in Journey Into Space, Operation Luna, Jet Morgan and his crew took off from the Moon, intending to return to the Earth, but a fleet of strange spaceships based on the other side of the Moon rose up to meet them and, so it seemed, attack them.
Jet and his companions lost consciousness, only to find, when they came round, that they were millions of miles from the solar system and hurtling through outer space at an unimaginable speed.

1953 Cat-Women of the Moon is the story of four men (Sonny Tufts, Victor Jory, William Phipps, and Douglas Fowley) and a woman (Marie Windsor) who blast off in a rocketship, and land on the dark side of the moon. The five astronauts on a scientific expedition discover a cave which somehow retains a breathable atmosphere. They remove their space suits and venture on, soon finding a buried city where they encounter a race of “Cat-women”, the last eight survivors of a 2-million-year-old civilization deep within a cave where they have managed to maintain the remnants of a breathable atmosphere that once covered the Moon. The remaining air will soon be gone and they must escape if they are to survive. They plan to steal the expedition’s space ship and return to Earth.

Cast for Classic Sci-fi 1953 movie Cat-Women of the Moon
Through the use of their telepathic ability the Cat-women have been subliminally controlling Helen Salinger (Marie Windsor) since before they left Earth so she could win the navigator position on the expedition and lead the crew to their location. Once Helen and the male members of the crew arrive on the moon the Cat-women take complete control of her mind. Unable to control the men’s minds they work around this obstacle with Helen’s help and the use of their superior abilities and feminine wiles. “Show us their weak points,” one says to Helen. “We’ll take care of the rest.”

Dimension X
The Federal Bureau of Missing Persons is broadcasting it’s latest coded bulletin transmission with a list of recently missing persons when they receive a CQ (SOS) radio message from a crank calling earth who claims to be calling from the Moon. Triangulating to locate the offender, radio operator Charlie Stafford discovers that the message did in fact come from the Moon from a man identifying himself as Cornelius Otterburn. Of course the call is dismissed, until a minor member of the Federal Bureau of Missing Persons begins to suspect that the call is related to a strange series of disappearances over the past several years.
Charlie Stafford tells Federal Bureau of Missing Persons records clerk Henry Stinton who recognizes the name and decides to investigate the name Cornelius Otterburn and finds only one person with that name has gone missing and he was an Atomic Physicist who had disappeared 5 years previously on June 5th 1945.

Journey into Space
In the previous episode (Episode 5) we left our space weary travelers launching from the moon and keeping to their original plans they make one orbit around the moon to be the first to see the dark side of the moon. We pickup the story here as they are now in lunar orbit on the back side peering down at the surface when suddenly they see one extremely large crater with dozens of little craters inside of it. Then Lemmy points out that those are not little craters but ships that are rising up very fast toward them.
At first the crew panics thinking they are coming up after them to destroy them but the strange craft settle into a hovering orbit just below the rocketship Luna. Once the they are back around the moon in their orbit with their ship again facing toward the earth they cut in their engines and blast for earth.

Journey into Space
Last episode (Episode 4) we left our Lunar crew who have been stranded for two weeks inside the Lunar Rocket Ship and on the tenth day of that period they heard a strange tapping sound around the ships hull as if “someone” were checking out the ship.
Then suddenly the Televiewer comes on and all power is restored. Quickly they make one final check before launching. They try to contact their Earth base at Wongawalla, Australia but all they hear is country music, a song about the Moon. Then they hear an announcer from London in the Overseas Service of the BBC telling the world that all hope for the Rocketship Luna is feared lost.

Dimension X
This episode of Dimension X was developed as a means of advanced promotion of the George Pal’s 1950 movie of Destination Moon. The Dimension X episode was based on an advanced copy of the screenplay.
Like the movie the story was based on the legendary Robert A. Heinlein’s novel “Rocket Ship Galileo” (1947) depicting man’s first flight to the moon.
In this radio adaption our story begins later in the story when General Thayer arrives at the rocket launch site to announce their permission to test the atomic motor was denied. They then anticipate that a court order will soon follow preventing them from launching and prepare for immediate launch and sure enough a court officer arrives and our crew launch to the moon.

Journey into Space
We join our lunar astronauts just after Jet presses the rocket ignition button and nothing happened. Then one by one all the ships systems shut down and they are left in a dead ship. Everything is quiet except for the sound of the ship’s master gyro whirring down until it stops.
After a complete inspection of the ships power system they can find nothing wrong except nothing has power. As Jet so concisely puts it unless they can find something they are stuck, stranded on the moon.

Journey into Space
We join our lunar astronauts outside of the ship. Jet, Doc and Lemmy suddenly hear that strange music again and Doc sees a movement near the craters edge. Jet goes over to investigate and disappears.
Doc and Lemmy go to the crater to investigate and they can find no trace of Jet. They call Mitch up in the ship to use the televiewer to see if he can find Jet. No such luck, Jet is nowhere to be seen. They try to call him on the radio with no results.
Three hours later Jet finally replies. They rejoin Jet who only believes he has been out of contact for about 5 minutes. During his absence he had been having a conversation with his uncle back on earth, in Jets youth, abut the possibility of space travel.

2000 Plus
